Lila Garrett is a writer, producer and radio host.  She came to Los Angeles after studying acting and appearing in plays in New York and Chicago.  From a socialist family, advocating for those less fortunate and those who take the "minority" position was second nature to her almost from birth.  She was one of a handful of women pioneers breaking barriers in network television, writing comedy, producing and eventually, directing.  She was active in Americans for Democratic Action, the ACLU of Southern California and formed one of the first groups to oppose the Iraq War.  After 8 years hosting a weekly television show for active seniors on Century Cable, she now hosts a radio program on KPFK, "Connect the Dots."
